Rising Star (Literary Lion – Week One)

It is incredibly difficult to write a six word story, but that is the challenge set this week by Laura Gabrielle Feasey via her Literary Lion feature.

Yes it is easy enough to put six words together to make a sentence, a statement, to attempt to say something meaningful. But to actually construct a story? That is a whole other thing.

Nonetheless, I have tried.

Please find my attempt below.

  1. woah! you did a great job. thank you for sharing ❤

  2. Excellent. A tough challenge, indeed, but I think you nailed it!

  3. Haha, well that certainly does tell a story! You’re right, it is hard to write something that creates a story around it, rather than being a throw away sentence, I think you did rather well!

Thank you! It was my first attempt and I spent most of the night – while comforting my teething baby – trying to construct it. It’s really hard to do 😕

      • It is such a difficult form isn’t it? It appears so simple when you read one but it’s very hard when you have to be selective with each and every word. Bravo on doing so well with such a distraction too!
