Seven Sentence Review of When We Were Alive by C. J. Fisher

When We Were Alive

by C. J. Fisher

*****

Bobby, William and Myles; each of them have a different story to tell – or do they?

Spanning three generations of the same family this book captures the highs and lows of life and the consequences of one cruel moment.

For me it didn’t matter if these three narrators came together at the end. I just enjoyed the stories they had to tell. So the fact the last few chapters revealed how deeply tangled they were to each other left me breathless.

This is a stunning debut by a talented young writer who has a lot to offer this industry.

One final question though – who exactly was Charlie then?
