I think a part of me wanted to face my past
but I didn’t yet know that I wasn’t ready.

For too long my life had been left at half-mast
in a permanent state of limbo.

It was time to raise the flag and face the consequences.

    I like the idea of living a life at half-mast. Not going as far as you could. Being active enough to get IN a boat, but not active enough to use it efficiently.
